We did not end up traveling to AL this week....we will wait to hear of the results tomorrow from our lawyer. Please pray that the Lord would work in Amber's birth mother's heart.
A word about my parents....
They leave tomorrow morning to travel 4 hours to their court hearing regarding the boys. Please pray for them tonight as they make last minute preparations......this is a really big change for them emotionally, physically, etc.....they just finished raising us and they are starting ALL over again! They will most likely be bringing the boys home with them on Saturday if the court proceedings go as planned.
Many of you have asked how YOU CAN HELP............
1) My parents are not sure of what kinds of physical needs the boys have as far as clothing, etc...they will wait until they sort through their belongings before they buy anything. What they could use help with, in the beginning, is groceries. So, if you are grocery shopping and can buy an extra box of cereal, carton of juice, gallon of milk, frozen veggies, etc..that would be a HUGE BLESSING to them. They'll have 4 hungry boys who can polish off a gallon or two of milk a day! Then call my parents to arrange a drop off.
2) As many of you know, my parents have ALWAYS loved opening the door to their home to anyone dropping by! When they bring the boys home, however, please call to see if it's a good time before dropping by for the first several weeks...here's why:
-The boys have been through a lot the past months and need stability...lots of people "in and out" does not support settling in when they are unsure of the surroundings
-They also need to begin to "attach" to my parents and settle into a routine
3) For those out of town...and in town :)...send Target gift cards for groceries, diapers, etc....
THANK YOU for joining me in welcoming home my soon-to-be little brothers :-)
